OriginFrom Latin accentus, “song added to speech”: ad- (to) + cantus (song). The mark placed over a letter to show where the voice should rise.
A mark above a letter that lifts its emphasis and changes how it is heard.
Business advisory that elevates. Expert guidance placed over your business to raise its performance, clarity and value. “With Accent, the business found its voice.”

Who we are
Accent Management is a New Zealand business advisory and management consultancy, with hundreds of years collective management expertise across its consultants. We were founded on a simple idea: business owners deserve a genuine partner, not another vendor selling a template and walking away.
Every business consultant on our team holds an MBA, several an Executive MBA, from New Zealand universities. That’s not a badge we wear for show. It’s the difference between advice that sounds good and advice that’s actually grounded in how businesses really work. We bring that same rigour whether we’re helping a solo operator get out of the weeds of their own business, or delivering a government advisory project overseas.
We call ourselves your co-pilot, because that’s exactly the role we play: alongside you, not instead of you, so you don’t have to navigate growth, change or complexity alone.
Every consultant. Every project. MBA-qualified.

Why choose us
01
Business coaches share experience. Our consultants bring an MBA and the experience to back it up, so the advice you get is grounded in how businesses actually work.
02
We don't sell you a template and walk away. We stay in the seat next to you until the change actually happens.
03
Running a business is complicated enough. Our job is to bring clarity to the complexity, so you always know what's next and why.
04
From a solo operator restructuring their business to a multi-site operation, our approach doesn't change: qualified people, a clear process, and results you can see.

Professional service on time every time. No regrets
A genuine conversation to understand your core problem, and confirm we're the right fit (and if we're not, we'll tell you).
We get underneath what's really slowing your business down: not just the symptoms, the root cause.
Priced by project where the scope is clear, or hourly where it isn't. You'll always know the cost before any work begins.
Our team works with you to implement changes, not just hand over a plan and disappear.
We stay in the loop to track what's actually changed, because a co-pilot doesn't get off at the first sign of turbulence.

Common questions
If you're excellent at your trade but feel like you're stuck "in" the business rather than working "on" it, or you're facing a restructure, growth phase, or a problem you can't quite diagnose, that's exactly where we come in. Our free discovery call will tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
It's a genuine, no-pressure conversation to understand your core problem and confirm whether Accent Management is the right kind of help for you, versus, say, an accountant or lawyer. No forms, no obligation.
It depends on the size of the job. Some projects are fixed-price, where the scope is clear from the start. Others are hourly, where it isn't yet. We'll always tell you the cost upfront, before any work begins.
Business coaches typically share experience. Our consultants bring an MBA (several an Executive MBA) combined with hands-on delivery experience. That means the advice you get is grounded in how businesses actually work, not just what worked once for someone else.
No. While we are based in Auckland, we work with international business owners and organisations. Most of our clients are based nationally across NZ, Australia, and the Pacific Islands, but we work globally.
Yes. Around a quarter of our work is government and public sector advisory, including policy development, change management and stakeholder engagement, delivered with the same MBA-qualified rigour as our SME work.
From solo operators through to businesses of around 200 employees, most commonly under 50. If you're the owner or vision-holder of the business, we want to talk to you directly.
Your next move
